The Copernicus Society Scholarship Fund is a benevolence fund designed to provide financial relief to applicants currently matriculating in post-secondary education with proceeds to be used in the payment of books, tuition and fees. The maximum allocation per applicant per year is $500.00. Applicants to the Scholarship Fund will meet the following criteria must be met:
Applicant must be a Society member or a partner of said person.
A Society member may nominate a candidate for scholarship outside of the traditional criteria and seek a worthy applicant who excels in community outreach and exemplifies good civic and charitable work.
The applicant must be in good standing with the Society, if they are currently a member.
If the applicant is sponsored by a Society member, said sponsor must be an active participant in the Society.
Applicant must be a high school graduate, or high school senior, who is scheduled to pursue post-secondary education either at a community college, 4-year university, trade or vocational school.
Applicant must have a GPA of 3.5 or greater.
An academic transcript from the last completed semester must be provided along with evidence of current matriculation at said institute of higher learning (e.g., document from the Bursar’s or Registrar’s office, etc.)
